For this reason, in the first session I don't address the issue while the client is in hypnosis but I do hypnosis for general well-being. That gives both me and the client time to think about the best strategy and it allows me to focus the first session on learning about the client and how they take in information.
Last week a woman came to see me for help with weight loss. One of the things this woman shared with me before this first hypnosis session was that she also suffers from arthritis and has to take something daily to help with the pain. When I brought her out of hypnosis, the very first thing she said was, "I'm pain free." Now that's pretty cool! Often a person will notice additional pleasant side effects from a hypnosis session Just like you, I find change to be exciting, scary, and sometimes difficult. Even positive or good changes can be overwhelming.
About a year and a half ago, I was struggling with some issues and went to hypnotherapy for the first time. I was amazed at this powerful tool that made changing and adjusting so much easier. How did it work? Why did it work? I started doing some research because I needed to know. Prior to that, I had been planning my retirement career. I knew I wanted to continue to help and teach others and that's when I started Positive Moves Consulting. It was the beginning of creating and imagining my coaching/workshop/helping business. When I found hypnosis, I knew it was to become the focus of my practice. I recently finished my training and received my Diploma in Hypnotherapy. Upon completion of my clinical hours, I will be a Certified Hypnotherapist. And, as I stated at the beginning, I find this very exciting and a bit scary. Luckily, MY hypnotherapist can help me with that! Change can be a difficult process. We are all really good at resisting change, even sabotaging moves that would make us happier and more fulfilled.
Change can be scary. To make lasting change, a crash course in developing goals is not going to get you there. What happens when you get off track? What if unexpected obstacles come up? When you lose your focus or motivation, what are you going to do? Positive Moves will help you identify and create the changes you want and will be there as you continue through the process. |
